The Charlottesville Brewers made history this season, clinching their second straight Blue Ridge Men’s Senior Baseball League Championship after a thrilling extra-inning win over the Culpeper Senators.

Scott Erreca and Bill Howard are the current architects of the team and were kind enough to tell us more about the history of Berry’s.  We are happy that they decided to take part in our 2025 MSBL World Series Profile program.

“The Era of the Heavy Bat: Heavy versus Light” by Ron ‘The Grizz’ Williams, Sacramento MSBL

“Ron “Grizz“ Williams  is a long-time SMSBL Board Member and Sacramento Hall of Fame member,” stated league president Alan Van Ness.

“This year at the MSBL World Series, he is playing in the 73+, 75+, and 80+ divisions, while here at home, he even plays in our Golden 60+ League."

2025 MSBL World Series Hall of Fame Inductee: Jim Fleming, Puget Sound Senior Baseball League

Jim Fleming is an amazing individual.  He hasn’t been cited by MSBL Founder and President Steve Sigler as a World Series Hall of Fame inductee because of an overpowering batting average or a laundry list of championships.

Jim is being recognized for his passion and love of all things baseball.  I must also mention that Jim is 84 years ‘young’ and has no intention of stopping anytime soon.
